After the Summit: Actions towards Athens

In the aftermath of the Spring Summit mobilisations is what the next common steps will look like for social movements across Europe.

This spring, lots of actions will take place across Europe to denounce the EU austerity policies, debt slavery and attacks on social rights. These include actions in Frankfurt (Blockupy), the subversive forum in Croatia, and a number of national events, such as the 26th of May in France. Last, but not least, there is the Alter Summit in Athens from the 7-9th of June.

This meeting is to discuss proposals on how to combine and create synergy among the different initiatives. A key question is whether there is support for marches and convoys, starting North and moving towards Athens.

Objective: Build on current initiatives of resistance towards a more common dynamic based on concrete struggles and initiatives taking place in several european countries in May-June, highlight the alternatives.
